Capt. Hassan Iqbal

In this photo you can see Capt. Hassan Iqbal (left) with Capt. Asghar (right). Umar took this photo in the flight deck of PIA Boeing 747-282B, registration AP-AYW, on December 7, 1995. AP-AYW was flying from London to Islamabad when this photo was taken. On this flight Capt. Hassan Iqbal was under-training Captain for Boeing 747 aircraft with Capt. Asghar as his instructor. Capt. Hassan Iqbal died of cancer in February of 2001 


Capt. Ruvi Zaman

In this photo taken by Umar we can see late Capt. Ruvi Zaman (right) as First Officer with Capt. Dara (left) piloting PIA Boeing 747-217B (AP-BCM). The photo was taken on December 22, 1993 and it shows AP-BCM on short finals for Paris-Orly Airport, France. Capt. Ruvi Zaman died in Islamabad after loosing his battle against cancer on October 22, 2003


Air Marshal Malik Nur Khan

In this another photo from Yawar's collection, PIA Managing Director Air Marshal Malik Nur Khan is seen at airline's award distribution ceremony in 1960s. In the center, Yawar's grandfather Capt. Moinuddin Qureshi can be seen. The identity of PIA employee receiving award from Nur Khan is not known. The photo was taken at one of Karachi Airport's aircraft maintenance hangars

Younis took this photo of AP-BFW crew on October 3, 1999. The Boeing 747 was flying at an altitude of 34,000 feet on a flight from Pakistan to London when this photo was taken. The crew seen in the photo (from left to right) are: Captain Hanif Amin, First Officer Najmi and Flight Engineer Imad
