A significant day in PIA's history - For the first time in Pakistani airline's history a scheduled passenger flight was flown by father and son pilots. The photo taken at Multan Airport on November 8, 1975 shows Capt. Rahat Hussain with his son and First Officer Sarwat Hussain after completing flight PK-621 from Lahore to Multan on a Fokker F27 Friendship Mark 600

Capt. Rahat Hussain and his son First Officer Sarwat Hussain at Multan Airport on November 8, 1975 after completing their flight from Lahore. Capt. Rahat Hussain was the first pilot in the world to complete 10,000 hours of flying on Fokker F27 Friendship aircraft and his achievement was officially recognized by the Fokker Company. The Air Hostess seen in this photo is Mary Patricia La Frenais, a highly respected, efficient and pleasant girl. She is now Grooming Officer and Instructor for cabin crew at PIA Ground School in Karachi
