Basically PIA changed their plans on the 14th when there was a meeting with palpa officials. PIA was facing difficulties in selecting which 3 should be selected. Palpa advised them to induct all as many new routes and suspended routes will be opened.I knew it because of my uncle who was present in the meeting as he is the vise president of Palpa

This snap shot of tweet looks pretty close to reality. GE powered Kenyan Airways 3 B777-300 should be inducted. Also, once this induction is done PIA could move to replacement plan of A310.

Best possible option of A310 replacement are A330-200 or B 787-8. Last option is very expensive but will give some boost to Airline in terms of image. If PIA could give chance to balance sheet to breathe by inducting Kenyan Airways aircraft instead of getting 5 new B777 from Boeing, the same money could go for replacement of A310 fleet, A330 or ideally by six B787.

Not sure if it is possible for PIA to change the order of 5 B777W to 6 B787 and same money that were paid (usually 3%) could transfer towards procurement of B787. Biggest problem of B787 is delivery backlog which is huge.

Most probably 3 77W from Kenya Airways will be acquired - but let's wait until sth final has been decided.

According to a friend of mine, the three Boeing 777-300ER registrations 5Y-KZX, 5Y-KZY & 5Y-KZZ were apparently purchased by Kenya Airways from GECAS.

That's why Kenya Airways as aircraft lessor is offering them to PIA.

Congratulations PIA got three Kenya 77W
Last year I flew Kenya 77W beautiful lovely cabin and good seat and clean but it have crew rest like 777LR
Weight take off is 351540kg
It can fly nonstop to Toronto no problem

I am finding it very strange how the chairman of PIA is openly discussing things that are even not confirmed yet. Yet, it look likes as if he tells everyone what they want to hear
