Beggars cannot be choosers! This is much sooner than expected. After receiving an aid package from UAE these kinds of demand will continue and we will obediently oblige.

During the past govt era, when Emirates was increasing frequencies people were labeling Shujaat Azeem corrupt and reason to destroy local aviation market by granting rights to middle eastern airlines, now additional flights mean STRENGTHENING COUNTRY'S ECONOMY.

The Pakistani whether he travels domestic or international suffers financially and physically /mentally (incase airport is far away or long wait is needed). And similarly ,the whole fleet owned by Pakistans national and private airlines is less than 40 for a country of 220 million. So ,to move on , if the gulf carriers want to make profit out of big vacuum left and which could also facilitate the Pak passengers, there is nothing bad in it.
On side note, Pakistan Telecommunication Company (PTCL) is run by Dubai based company. That is also strategic asset. One can hope govt will come with a policy to end the suffering of Pak passengers by given them options and facilitate businessmen to open more airlines. But until then, gulf airlines should not be blocked in any way
