Qatar Airways and American sign codeshare

American Airlines and Qatar Airways have signed a codeshare deal, ahead of the Gulf carrier’s inauguration into the Oneworld alliance.

The agreement will cover non-stop flights between the US and Doha, as well as connecting flights at the carriers’ European hubs including Paris and London, and services within the US and beyond Doha.

The codeshare takes effect for flights booked from February 10, for travel from February 26.

Last year Qatar Airways was invited to join the Oneworld alliance, of which AA is a founding member.
