Lufthansa retires it's first Boeing 747-400

I just found out about this. Here is the link. Aparently the first one to be retired is DABVA with 118,000 hrs. http://www.airliners.net/aviation-forum ... n/5347462/

surprised BA 744 G-BNLB/C scrapped but will LH 744 scrapped? any more other airline 744 scrapped also what about 777 scrapped ? what name of airline on 744 and 777 scrapped?

It was 777-200 PP-VRD of Varig Airlines, before going back to Boeing.

Yes unfortunately it will be scrapped due to high amount of hours.
