Apparently wet lease term of Windrose Airbus A321-231 registration UR-WRJ with airblue ended when the aircraft departed from Lahore Airport on April 24 as Windrose ferry flight 7W-7005 to Kiev via Ankara.

The other three wet leased Windrose A321s i.e. aircraft registration UR-WRH, UR-WRI & UR-WRO continue to perform flights for airblue.

Appears lease term for Windrose Airbus A321 UR-WRO has also ended, with the aircraft on its way to Ankara (most probably to carry on to Kiev) as 7W-7005.

Interesting to see how Airblue's schedules will cope with the end of 2 wet leased aircraft operating for them. Cancellations, delays or normal ops?

Maybe the four dry leased A321s have been inducted by airblue as replacement of these four wet leased A321s.

If that is the case, surprised to see new routes being launched such as Dammam, Manchester etc. without an increase in aircraft.

Similarly I've been observing many ferry flights in the recent weeks just to get the aircraft to another airport just to get it ready for the next flight (LHE-ISB, LHE-MUX, MUX-LHE) being the most frequent. Shows poor utilisation schedule of aircraft.

Any idea how much of a loss do these ferry flights cause for the company?

Wet leased A321 registration UR-WRI is currently in Sofia. It was flown to Sofia on 26th July as flight No. 7W7771 from Islamabad. Has it gone for maintenance or the lease period has ended?

^ I guess for maintenance checks at Lufthansa Technik Sofia (http://www.lufthansa-technik.com/luftha ... hnik-sofia) before returning to airblue to resume performing flights as wet-leased aircraft.

Otherwise i.e. in case of end of wet-lease term with airblue, I think it would have arrived at Windrose homebase at Boryspil International Airport in Kiev, Ukraine.

Today, Airbus A321-231 registration UR-WRH was ferried from Lahore to Kiev via Ankara as Windrose ferry flight 7W-7708.

Probably the end of this A321's wet lease term with airblue?

Anybody have idea when the leased A330 is returning back? Deployed only on Lhe-Jed-Lhe sector, I simply hate that A330! :(

On October 27, Windrose Airbus A321-231 aircraft registration UR-WRI departed from Lahore at 11:09 PM as Windrose ferry flight 7W-7007 to Kiev.

https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/ur-wri

Apparently it's the end of UR-WRI wet lease term with airblue and now all Windrose A321s are returned by airblue.
