PIA Starting Flights to London From Islamabad and Lahore

Not a surprise considering direct flights tend to be expensive compared to ones with connection.

How are direct flights more expensive?

They consume less fuel, PIA aircraft are old and paid off, their crew gets the lowest salaries, PIA should be charging a competitive fare.

Not the operational reasons, but more like demand for direct flight drives fares to be higher. Why sell them for low bucks when you can charge a premium and still have sold out.

Moreover the reason you see QR etc fares low is temporarily due to situation right now. Once things stabilize, QR wont appear much cheaper at all.

AP-BHX is leaving Manchester today 5 hours late and then performing back to back flights which will definitely have a knock on effect and delay those flights also. My only concern is that if the same aircraft has to perform Sundays London flight then we could see that delayed also.

AP-BGK scheduled to fly the first flight PK785 from Islamabad to London, however the plane is currently carrying multiple hours of delay so I'm concerned that PK785 may also be affected...

I presume they were needed to fill in for AP-BHV's flights, sinc the B77W is also now on the ground since 2 weeks

I wish PIA could have inducted a couple of A330s to operate on the UK and Europe routes and not use 22 year old 777s.
