Airblue secures TCO permit for UK flights

Airblue has been granted the TCO permit by the British Authorities today and is planning to start flights from Islamabad to Leeds in November via Istanbul using a321neo aircraft and later on, flights to Manchester will also resume. On the other hand, PIA hasn't been issued the TCO because of lack of of aircraft:

Great news for AirBlue and British Pakistanis in the North.

Some TikTok videos are saying the first flight from Islamabad will be on 15th Nov.

PIA has also secured a TCO Permit according to their twitter post, they are claiming flights will start next month.

Why does the second sentence suggest that this is not imminent, but in sometime in the future

All seems to have gone very quiet from AirBlue re UK flights. Does anyone have any details of any confirmed planned start date from Leeds Bradford?

The vacancy appearing on AirBlues website at Leeds Bradford Airport is no longer advertised. It could be that it has been filled.

In the meantime seems very quiet from AirBlue regarding them starting flights next month.

They are also one of the bidders for PIA, as part of the privatisation. If, big IF, they are successful, it wouldn't make sense for both PIA and AirBlue to be operating UK flights.
