As seen on flight radar at 13:56 UTC, AP-BKZ was seen departing out of Karachi.
Remaining within the vicinity. Test flight supposedly.

PIA inducted 5x ATR 72s in 2015: BKV, BKW, BKX, BKY & BKZ:

AP-BKY: Returned back to the lessor during covid
AP-BKW: Collided with an aircraft in 2018 (damaged beyond repair)
AP-BKX: Transferred to Pakistan navy
AP-BKZ and AP-BKV are both still with PIA.

Wonder why PIA didn't return all 4 aircrafts altogether in 2020. Lease period supposedly ended in 2023 after 8 years. Imagine how much money has PIA lost by keeping these aircraft on ground for so long.

AP-BKZ landing gear shipset overhaul due date was September 30, 2020. The aircraft was withdrawn from use in August 2020.

Apparently Pakistan Navy (PN) flight PN1029 or Pakistan Army Aviation (PAA) flight PAA1029 performed a number of times by former PIA ATR 72-500 registration AP-BKZ in recent days.
