PIA Flight PK301 from Islamabad Suffers Bird Hit During Landing at Karachi

According to news sources, today PIA Airbus A320 registration AP-BLA performing flight PK301 from Islamabad suffered bird hit during landing in Karachi. The A320 landed safely at Karachi at 12:11 PM.

The aircraft's starboard side wing received bird hit and it is grounded for inspection/repairs.

AP-BLA returned to service when it departed from Karachi at 5:37 PM as flight PK304 to Lahore with a delay of more than two hours. The flight was scheduled to depart at 3:00 PM.

It is frustrating that the CAA is becoming careless in handling birds, whilst it is not in control of birds flying onto the airfield, try keeping them out. This is a constant occurrence.
