Aviation Division to be Dismantled

Post by Abbas Ali »

According to news sources, Aviation Division is going to be dismantled under the newly elected Government of Pakistan.

PIA and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will come under the Ministry of Defence like they were in the past before the creation of the Aviation Division in 2013.

Returning thier old asset was expected by this government which came to power on defense support. No where in the world civil aviation matters are supervised by defense secretaries, every where it comes under ministry of transport or a separate ministry for civil aviation. Last governement did a good job by separating it to address the burning issues of civil aviation.

What is the hurry, was this the most important issue facing the nation? Cabinet has not yet taken oath, Ministers havent yet got a formal briefing from their departments. When were the discussions and deliberations held, who analysed pros and cons, who gave the final go ahead?

I agree with TAILWIND and jibran..

without any brainstorming or analysis big decisions are being taken in a rush which will likely result in bad results.
