Re: Supreme Court Takes Notice of Non-payment of Compensation to airblue Crash Affectees
Today, the Supreme Court of Pakistan imposed a fine of PKR 50,000/- for not submitting reply to questions asked by the court. The airline has been ordered to deposit the amount in Fatimid Foundation account.
A lawyer representing airblue informed the court that all affectees of the crash have received compensation except six passenger's families. The court remarked that it's hearing the case of those six passengers' families.
The Supreme Court remarked that the airline deposited compensation cheque(s) in the court instead of cash. The court ordered airblue to deposit compensation cheques for eight affectees to the court.
