Dear History of PIA Forum Members,
My daughter is in 12th grade and is very keen to take up aviation engineering as a career, at least at the moment. During this upcoming summer break, for orientation I was thinking of getting in touch with Karachi Aero Club to inquire if they can provide a short stint as an observer or to give an orientation. However, if there are any better options I would welcome and appreciate suggestions. In order to not to clutter this forum's space I can reached at [email protected] I will be truly grateful. Thank you in advance.

If someone have around 27-28 lakh rupees AND his/her child have done FSc , THEN planning to join aviation school like Karachi fying club or Lahore flying club to get Pilot license in two years , provided everything goes per plan, IS not a bad deal. As the person may enter the job market after two years and recover the amount spent and have a career as Pilot . Comparing this with other trends in the market like engineering, management, economics,MBA etc where one have to study long after FSc and still struggle to find good job.
For aerospace and aeronautical engineering, NUST or IST offers this. But unfortunately, in Pak there is not much scope of them as for now , as there are other fields of engineering much better than that. Outside Pak, there is some scope but due to nature of this field, a Pak passport holder might have difficult time getting the job despite being fully qualified.

This is so valid, I am also studying aerospace engineering masters abroad, and Pakistani passport is a big hurdle in many cases, especially defense companies like SAAB and Airbus Space and Defense.Tuti Fruiti wrote: Thu May 24, 2018 2:59 pm If someone have around 27-28 lakh rupees AND his/her child have done FSc , THEN planning to join aviation school like Karachi fying club or Lahore flying club to get Pilot license in two years , provided everything goes per plan, IS not a bad deal.
