Pakistani aviation stamps

Post by Zulfiqar »

Many moons ago I used to collect stamps, and I found some to share. I will be adding them here and in the world aviation memorabilia section. Basically, they are stamps with concerning all kinds of aviation and some just happen to have an aeroplane picture or a drawing on it. Some a I remember someone else had posted some a few years ago.

So to start with couple of PIA ones. I bet you can't get a Re. 1 stamp anymore let alone a 20 paisa one.

Some first day issues and accompnay inormation uncovered in my cupboard.

PIA

In January 1973 PIA became the first airline to operate a twice weekly Islamabad-Beijing service. The stamps celebrate this and Sino -Pak friendship. Finally, in 2015 it has gone up to 3 times a week!
