Imagine, if they are going to paint all upcoming A320s in retro livery.
Adding with Abbas Ali, as of my observation;
1. "PIA" written left the door should be italic and written right the door.
2. Green strip should 'slightly' bend at nose, as of old 1960s livery photos.
Checkout this one, if it can help improving tail design;

Wrong direction of flag on starboard side is quite obvious to me in AP-BLU photos posted here. Also, flag should be slightly skewed.Moin wrote:Abbas you can hardly see the flag in these pics how do you know which direction is facing??
Seems PIA people responsible for this paint job did not closely check starboard and port side photos of airline's Boeing 720Bs or Boeing 707s in 1960s livery before painting A320 in that livery.
This is how it should be:
Flag direction/shape on starboard side:

Flag direction/shape on port side:

Another point to be noted is that in 1960s livery PIA logo/acronym (without stylised aircraft) in italic font was painted near cabin doors on port side only from where boarding took place. Doors on starboard side did not have PIA logo painted near them.
If possible, front antenna on A320 fuselage top should also be painted green.

I think that we should be happy that majority of it is painted great by our talented painters. These are really minor nooks. InshaAllah the other a320s will be without any faults. I have again talked to the management regarding ap-bla's font. They have assured me that on the next maintainance visit, it will be corrected.I'll also talk about these minor nooks on this

I think they are painting these 4-5 a/c in retro livery just because they want to practise so that in the end perhaps one will be in correct livery...PIA ap-bkz wrote:InshaAllah the other a320s will be without any faults.

I will be so happy if they adopt this livery on the entire fleet.
Its much more classy and stylish then the khichri livery currently on the remaining fleet.

Re: PIA to Dry Lease Narrow-body and Turboprop Aircraft
With 13 aircraft planned maybe PIA should keep a few with club class seats and keep the majority with 180 all economy layout.
A lot of airlines keep two or three layouts in their fleet for a certain type.
The aircraft that operate between Karachi-Islamabad-Karachi should have club as that usually has MNA Minsters and other VIPs on it.
while for the flights with the common man, they should have a layout that actually makes economic sense.
