Nine A320s is a good start, but I wonder if passengers would go for a five hour flight on a narrow body jet versus the wide body option that other airlines offer.

For example Bangkok competing with Thai A330-300s or flying to Saudi Arabia, UAE where the competition is with 777 and A330.

PIA needs to offer a great economy class product to win back passengers. 162 seat all economy layout with good seat pitch, decent fares, and good frequency will increase PIA share.

These recently inducted ATRs and A320s must have considerably lowered PIA average fleet age.

Reason behind AP-BLU and AP-BLT being on hold could be the shortage of crew. If I'm not wrong there are not more than 4-5 first officers per aircraft right now flying the fleet of 320's which is half of the required number of crew on these aircraft.
