Today, ground movement of Airbus A320-214 construction number 3031 with Czech registration OK-MEH was observed at Prague Airport.

Why are the 320's taking so long? With the VIA 320's gone back, the flight schedule has started to take a hit e.g. Today PK 203 was cancelled.

Just imagine the aircraft's (A320's) we are getting on 6 years dry lease are having technicals while flying their very first test flights. Newly inducted 72 aborted take-off yesterday at JIAP. I guess we were just handed over all the junk.

I guess some sort of paper work or something to do with payments is delaying delivery of A320s and ATR 72s.

I don't think any kind of technical problem is delaying delivery flights of these aircraft.

Abbas bhai according to my knowledge both AP-BLU and AP-BLW had technicals during there test flights.

Are Pakistan CAA officials also present in Prague? Maybe they are taking time in issuing airworthiness certificate/Pakistani registration to the aircraft for ferry flight from Prague to Karachi? What's the procedure for issuance of Pakistani registration for aircraft's ferry flight to Pakistan?

Btw, at the moment nine Airbus A320-200 and three ATR 72-500 aircraft are due for delivery to PIA, under this bidding invitation.

Yeah I agree with u but its good that all flaws should be finished and then the aircraft should be delivered. Anyways what was the registration of the atr 72 which aborted takeoff

Today, ATR 72-500 construction number 1036 ferried under French registration F-WNUF from Sonderborg Airport, Denmark, to Toulouse-Francazal Airport, France, where it will be painted in PIA livery.

At the cost of sounding cynical this should be renamed instead as 'Survival of PIA' rather then revival. Airplanes won't buy a new attitude. The grass root problem will remain until PIA decides to get rid of the dead wood,political interference and the deep rooted corruption. Promote merit and bring up the people within who have a proven track record.

Until then this may prove to be another excercise in futility.

What is the status of BLU and BLW they should have reached Karachi by now??

six wet leased aircraft phased out and only BLV inducted, that cannot be good for operations.

This is Pakistan. All organizations suffer from corruption , promotion of the incompetent, political interference. I am sorry but this will not end.

An airline that should have 6000 employees has 20,000, how do you expect to survive.

Why did PIA reach a level where operational fleet dropped from 40 plus to less then twenty. Why did PIA management allow Shaheen to grow 43% in one year when the national growth average was 3% that year. Incompetence in the highest order.

The PPP rule of 2008-13 was one of the darkest periods in the history of Pakistan, when the most corrupt man in the world became our president.

Nothing will change in PIA, because nothing has changed in Pakistan.

the return of wet leased aircrafts before dry leased one came is turning out to be a bad idea :/
Jumbo is just not a plane, it's a legacy !
