On February 25 ATR 72-500 construction number 1029 was ferried from Sonderborg Airport, Denmark, to Toulouse-Francazal Airport, France, to get painted in PIA livery.

The aircraft was ferried under French registration F-WNUE.

According to my knowledge it takes 4 days to paint a boeing 777 so they won't take much time to paint an ATR 72-500. Let's hope this aircraft lifts off from france for pakistan soon.

Probably Atlantic Air Industries contracted by leasing company to paint ATR 72-500 construction number 1029 in PIA livery at Toulouse-Francazal Airport, France.

http://www.atlantic-air-industries.com/ ... -painting/

Maybe the ATR will also undergo maintenance checks at Atlantic Air Industries facility.

PIA - Pakistan International Airlines (PIA, Karachi Int'l) has reportedly leased two ATR 72-500 aircraft from ABRIC Leasing. The two aircraft, cn 994 and cn 1029, are currently registered as UR-UTH and UR-UTJ and were formerly in service with UTair-Ukraine (QU, Lugansk). The ch-aviation aircraft database shows both turboprops are currently undergoing pre-delivery maintenance checks at Toulouse Francazal.

If PIA has leased only two Atrs from ABRIC, then what about the other three? #-o

According to planespotter.net, Atr 72-500 registration TC-YAF also returned to lessorr NAC on 27th February, 2015.
This atr was also accepted in PIA bids for turboprops.

PIA has signed LOI with NAC for Three ATR 72's and LOI with Abric leasing for Two ATR 72's
So the deal is on for 5 ATR 72's !

Thanks for the info. Any information(c/n or reg.no) regarding the three Atrs from NAC?
Hmm.. So PIA had to go to ABRIC for the rest of the two Atrs. Can't understand the reason behind this. :-k

Year 2011 built ATR 72-500, construction number 982, ferried from Billund Airport, Denmark, to Eindhoven Airport, Netherlands, under Danish registration OY-YAF today.

It was one of ATR 72-500 aircraft offered by Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) accepted by PIA bid evaluation report.

Probably it will get painted in PIA livery at Eindhoven Airport?

Everything seems going on here according the plan. The bidding invitation says delivery schedule: Immediately but not later then March 31, 2015 so the aircraft's have to land here by that date or can there be any sort of delay or relaxation regarding the date provided by PIA?
