All these six A320s were accepted by PIA bid evaluation report for dry lease.

I think sooner or later PIA will get these 6 A320s since the tender published yesterday makes sense. PIA was supposed to get 10 A320s initially so if these 6 will come then the remaining 4 will be accepted later on when the bids are opened. The sum equals the initial plan of attaining 10 320s on dry lease.

And I've heard 2 ATR 72s are coming in feb.

But PIA getting 15 aircraft is too much to digest.

MD PIA told news media on February 11 that agreements are being finalized for leasing aircraft and he said that one or two aircraft may join PIA fleet this month and more in next month.

According to Express News channel, Managing Director PIA Shahnawaz Rehman will leave for Dubai tomorrow to finalise and sign agreement(s) for dry lease of five turboprop and six narrow-body aircraft.

The aircraft are most probably:

5 x ATR 72-500
6 x Airbus A320-200

ATR 72-500 registration OY-YAI ferried from Dusseldorf Monchengladbach Airport, Germany, to Toulouse-Francazal Airport, France, on February 16, 2015.

It was one of ATR 72 aircraft that were accepted by PIA bid evaluation report.

It's been a few months since UR-UTK, UR-UTL and OY-EBW were returned to the lessor too. Let's see if OY-YAI would be ferried to Pakistan and join PIA'S fleet or not.

According to ATDB two ATR72-500 will join the fleet of PIA: sn 994 and 1029

ATR 72-500 construction number 1029 to be ferried from Sonderborg Airport, Denmark, to Toulouse-Francazal Airport, France, to get painted in PIA livery.

Last known operator of this year 2012 built ATR was UTair-Ukraine that flew it under registration UR-UTJ.

The turboprop aircraft was accepted by PIA bid evaluation report.

Thanks for the updates Abbas bhai. This means PIA is not getting those top five ranked turboprops accepted in the bids. Probably NAC withdrew its bids, or PIA rejected those aircrafts after inspection..? Btw what is the source of the information that PIA is getting those five 2012 built ATR 72s?
