Delivery of Dry Leased Airbus A320s to PIA to Begin in June

According to PTV News report, PIA Airbus A320-214 registration AP-BLC is configured to carry 180 passengers in single class / Economy class layout. PIA has acquired this A320 from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) on dry lease for six years.

AP-BLC will start operating scheduled PIA passenger flights from 1st of July. The aircraft will be used on PIA's domestic and regional routes.

The news channel also showed AP-BLC parked at Islamabad Airport after its arrival from Shanghai this morning.

I dont want to play an excitement spoiler . A dry leased . pre owned , a type in service with Shaheen and with Airblue for more than a decade . From Prime Minister to Shujat Azeem and whole PIA is so excited as if PIA got Boeing 787.

it built 2004 old cabin but today new 2014 cabin with IFE PTV. I flew A320 many times but it good jump seat cockpit in A318 319 320 321 but 737-600 700 800 900 are good F1 Fomula one fast than A320.

The A320 is a wonderful aircraft. Hope it serves PIA well.

Atleast prime minister is taking interest in acquiring planes for national airline.we forget we are living in Pakistan we compare ourselves with UAE and other western countries, while just look at those foreign airlines who just wrapped up their operation within a mere notice of hours,while PIA people are still performing their national duty.Respect PIA and respect Pakistan.

Is there any possibility of PIA providing A320 maintenance services to Airblue/Shaheen 320s in near future..? If this happens, PIA can generate some revenue through this.
