March 20, 2014 - Today Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Base Mianwali was renamed as PAF Base M M Alam after 1965 Indo-Pak war hero and PAF ace pilot Air Commodore Muhammad Mahmood Alam who passed away on March 18, 2013.
The PAF air base in Mianwali became operational in 1971, according to PTV News.
