AP-AJS was a PIA Douglas C-47/DC-3 that crashed in East Pakistan in 1957.

It's great to see you posting on this thread Abbas, I was in impression that you were not noticing it....lol

Well since the unveiling registration number has been changed to AP-AJZ, instead of ap ajs, I liked your observation and ur 2nd person to notice that registration error on the model.

In 2nd picture you guys can see clear difference between 1:14 scale and 1:400 clearly, I just bought that cute little AC S Connie in PIA colors and it also has AP AJZ registration on it....lol

This little model helped with gray stripes and section on with wings plus location of registration as I found pics of it and then painted my model and just bought the lil model on last Sunday at airliners show where I was invited with this Constellation model.

Thanks Raihans, it's pretty much complete now, only installations of electronics and reinforcement plates to be glued in the main landing gears bays is all needed to be done.

First time did a engine run up for this model and in honor of few senior ex-PIA pilots here in Toronto, they wanted to see the model and were very anxious so I arranged a dinner event for them. Every one loved the model and I'm amazed with the power produced from single engine, rest alone all 4 of these!

Enjoy it guys....very soon other 3 will be operational too...

My AP-AJZ has performed its very first taxi trial at 11am on Saturday 15th of December 2012 on the street....

She tracks straight as an arrow with great ground handling.....video is few mins from completion of upload on you tube and will be posted here for all to see.

I feel great sense of pride and achievement at this stage of this ultra long and most complicated project in my carrier as rc aircraft modeler....

Official Roll out.......

Post by ConnieMan »

History of PIA is the first site on this globe to get first glimpse of this historic roll out and taxi trial video.

Very special thanks goes to the ability and professionalism shown in making this video by crew of Pakstar media group.

I hope you all will appreciate it and like it.....your honest feedback will be appreciated...

Thanks Raihans,

Maiden will be in spring of 2013, it's just too cold now plus have couple snags on hand, so better take few more months and then fly her in comfortable weather conditions...

Yes ATC communication was added by team of Pakstar Media, this was a nice add-on surprise for me as well and really made this video very authentic type....
