Thanks Shoaib Sb, it was hard tiring n exhaustive last week n half, i did all the body work, pre-paint prep work, making decals by hand and then painting it in this livery. It all paid off last night at PIA's retires family dinner gala when i met many ex-PIA's employees who actually had there lives sped on PIA's S Connies!, they all shared there stories as they recalled after seeing my model. PIA's Station manager Moiz was delighted to see this model and his office personal. They have not seen such big S Connie's model before specially flying rc model.

Mrs, Tahira Taqvi and her Husband, Tahira used to do Mock up flights at PIA's in-flight crew training centre in KHI where AFQ's fuselage was kept for in flight training up till 90's. SHe was the first lady who came right up to me and shared her past stories with PIA as this recalled her times with PIA's S Connies.

Pls keep following my threads on here as this not the end of road for me n my models, but one major project is complete now, juss waiting it's maiden flight.

Nice pictures!! So what's the next step sir? I noticed that the engines/motors are missing. Any tentative time-frame for the maiden flight?

Well i had to take out all the electronics and motors to paint this model, I didn't wanted access weight in the plane for easy handling painting stages. I'm just taking a bit of break now and in day or two will start to install electronics back in plus make linkages that still needs to be made. I'm hoping to do maiden flight before then end of 2012.....

Thanks Raihan.

It's great to know your hard work get recognized and appreciated. This gives us modelers boost to strive for more and do better as we progress in refining our skills.

Today an article has been done on me in our local Mississauga News paper's website. Here you go: http://www.mississauga.com/community/ar ... lled-model

Let's see how it all pans out by end of this month for maiden flight. It's presently depending on getting large order with Electronic Speed Control units plus some other items from Hobbyking, if I get these items say 1.5wk before the maiden date, then it's go ahead depending on weather, but if i don't get the items in time, I will have to delay it till further date.....

There is one person missing from the group photo and that is, Flight Engineer Sayyed, who has had the pleasure of starting his career in PIA as flight engineer on Super Connie. Mr. Sayyed lives in Mississauga now.

I have been given the excellence of being a "Modelling Icon" by admin of Pakistan's largest RC website http://www.rcpak.com couple days ago. I was caught off guard when I was notified by the admin of the rcpak that my interview that was taken months ago is on site's "Icon page" and also on home page.

http://www.rcpak.com/index.php/home

When you guys get few mins to spare, do read it as I will highly appreciate your feedback. In last month and half, I have been published in 4 different local desi news papers and also in Mississauga News. I'm still in AWW at this time and have no idea how to react about this great honor given to me......

Why registration AP-AJS painted on this Super Constellation model?

AP-AJS was a PIA Douglas C-47/DC-3 that crashed in East Pakistan in 1957.
