Hi All,
This is my first message on the forum. Hope to enjoy using the forum which I have had read with great interest as a guest.
At the end of the month, I will be taking Thai Airways from Lahore to Australia. I have traveled once with Thai back in 2009 to Tokyo and was wondering if their operations/ground services have changed significantly at Lahore. For example, back in 2009, they did not issue boarding passes for the whole journey but rather only till BKK. They instructed to get the onward passes in BKK which ate up some time during transit.
If anyone has recently traveled with Thai from LHE would like to hear your feedback.
Hope to actively contribute to the forum and hope to post a travel report with Qatar (GVA-DOH-LHE) very soon.

in addition, PIA ground staff were responsible for all on ground duties. Is that still the case?

Singapore Airlines was the best option between two countries. But with their closure all we have is less-preferred, slightly expensive but short stopover with Thai or more commonly now Emirates.

Emirates is also a viable option but we preferred to go with Thai to reduce the transit and total flying time.
@Pineapple, have you used Thai from Pakistan to Australia? Do you know if I will need to get my onward boarding passes from BKK or I will get both from Lahore? A bit worried as transit time is 1:50.
