PIA Flight Attendants Lost and Found in Bangkok

Post by Abbas Ali »

January 5 - According to Geo News, two female flight attendants of PIA were reported missing from a Bangkok hotel on December 29. Earlier, the two flight attendants had arrived in Bangkok on a PIA flight from Karachi.

On December 30, PIA had to operate its Bangkok-Hong Kong-Bangkok flight without the two missing flight attendants. The flight's pilot also informed PIA station manager in Bangkok about the two missing flight attendants. Police in Bangkok was also informed about the missing flight attendants.

However, two days later, on December 31, the two flight attendants returned to their hotel in Bangkok. In an apology letter to PIA, the flight attendants have stated that they had gone to Thai tourist resort of Pattaya with some people who had become friends of the two flight attendants a day before they went missing from hotel.

PIA Director Flight Operations (DFO) has been appointed as inquiry officer to investigate the matter. Pakistan's intelligence agencies will also investigate this incident.

Pattaya, is Famous for Night Clubs, Beaches...

May be they wanted to Unwind. When it comes to the Inquiry, what will happen!
My experience says that they would be Suspended and then Reinstated again.

I never knew Pia operates BHK-HKG-BHK...

I think it means change of crew for following PIA flights takes place in Bangkok.

* Flight PK-892 operated every Tuesday on Islamabad-Bangkok-Hong Kong route with Airbus A310-300.

* Flight PK-892 operated every Friday on Islamabad-Lahore-Bangkok-Hong Kong route with Airbus A310-300.

* Flight PK-893 operated every Tuesday on Hong Kong-Bangkok-Islamabad route with Airbus A310-300.

* Flight PK-893 operated every Friday on Hong Kong-Bangkok-Islamabad-Lahore route with Airbus A310-300.

Btw, according to latest news reports, the two flight attendants had gone to Pattaya to attend a New Year celebration party.

I imagine the conversation in the morning between the two F/As went something along the following lines: :)

Although if they were back on the 31st, they really didn't celebrate a new years party now, did they?! I doubt they headed back immediately after 12:00am since that would put them back in BKK in the wee hours of the morning, on Jan 1st.

According to following news report, the two flight attendants returned to their hotel in Bangkok on January 1.
PIA air hostesses risk jobs to celebrate New Year on Thai beach

Imran Adnan

LAHORE -
Two airhostesses of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) returned to their hotel in Bangkok on January 1 after skipping with friends to a Thai tourist resort a couple of days earlier.

Sources in the national airline told Pakistan Today that the female flight attendants, with initials NP and TH, reportedly went missing from their hotel room on December 29. Sources said the two airhostesses arrived in Bangkok on PIA flight PK-892, operated on the Hong Kong-Bangkok-Islamabad-Lahore route.

They reached the hotel along with other cabin crew members, but secretly left the hotel later without informing anyone. Sources said the two flight attendants were supposed to catch the returning PIA flight PK-893 on the same route. The cabin crew, clueless about the missing stewardesses, reported to the Bangkok police after not getting any information from the hotel staff.

However, some 48 hours later and in the early hours of January 1, the two airhostesses returned to their hotel room. When enquired, they said they had gone to the tourist resort of Pattaya with friends.

Sources said the PIA management appointed its director flight operations (DFO) as enquiry officer to investigate the matter, while some intelligence agencies also took notice of the incident. When contacted, the PIA spokesman said that it was difficult to substantiate the incident offhand. However, the management would thoroughly investigate the incident and would take necessary action under the law, he added.

Air Hostesses Suspended

By Bhagwandas

KARACHI, Jan 7:
Two PIA air hostesses who had gone missing in Thailand for some time a few days ago have been suspended after they returned to the country.

An inquiry has been launched into the incident.

According to sources, the two air hostesses had gone to Bangkok and were due to take another flight to Hong Kong but they did not turn up for duty. The sources said the air hostesses, both of them from Islamabad, had gone to a nearby beach with four Indian merchant navy sailors they had met a day earlier.

Owing to the involvement of Indians, some secret agencies were following the inquiry, the sources said.

Replying to a question, PIA`s Media Adviser Tahir Khalique said Nadia Pervaiz and Taiyaba Hussain had not reported for duty in Bangkok, which is a serious violation of rules. He said the result of the inquiry, being conducted by PIA Director Muzaffar Talpur was expected in a few days.

He said the defence ministry was being kept updated on the matter.
