Aweful Lufthansa trip

i just flw on 747-400 JFK-FRA..and it sucked...mostly because their is no inseat flight entertainment..their is a small screen that showed some boring british gymnastics film and even that screen is hidden by half if u have a window seat.... and only monitor was playing 3 hours of a 7 hour flight..food was bland and the snack was a hard as rock whole wheat and cucumber sandwich..for those that knock PIA shoulkd really appreciate all the facilities and tasty food PIA provides... i was under impression by now all major carriers had inseat entertaintainment ( AVOD)..the flight was torturous on top of that we sat on the taxi way at JFK for 3.5 hours given only a cup of water because of rain...wtf is wrong with JFK air traffic control...never again will i fly before seeing if AVOD is avaialable or not

Sorry to hear about your recent experience. The weather that we have been experiencing here in New York lately is not quite normal for us during this time of the year. Also JFK is currently experiencing alot of VVIP movements.

AVOD is currently in the process of being installed on our B744s. Some of them are already in service. I saw one here recently at JFK.

BTW what day did you travel on, recently there was an accident here involving a Delta aircraft maybe it was that. Also there is alot of construction going on.

Well, it is true. I'm not saying that PIA is better or worser than Lufthansa but there are many other airliners out there that are much more worser than PIA. I have flown PK from JFK to LHE once on the B74M combi and I have flown many times domestically on PK B743. Compared to others I have to admit that they are not that bad.

I had the pleasure of flying Cyprus airways Jedda- Larnaca- London. Rude cabin staff, nasty food, horrible seats and 8 hour delay at Larnaca, this was the worst experience i ever had never will I fly this airlines again!

I never had a bad experience with PIA, but when you mention PIA to a friend or a relative all you hear is something negative about them. Thats why I was amazed when malpensa26 said it was better.

I wouldn't say that LH is bad.
It provides usually great Service - yeah the 744 havnt any PTV Screens because they are a bit older.
As far as I know LH is one of the best Airlines in Europe
