Especially they did the order in Berlin.
That was a sign from Emirates becuase they want to fly also to Berlin and Stuttgart but at the moment the German Government dont allow it.
They are afraid of losses of Lufthansa

Do you think 90 A-380s will fit in the small Arab emirates? Plus all the other aircrafts in ther fleet.

I am sure they are looking into building a new airport already. Possibly an island airport on the water. Like HongKong does.

I seem to remember hearing that DXB will ONLY be used by EK once Al Maktoum International is built.

Don't know how much truth is in that.

Seriously thought 90 A380s is an extortionate amount of Superjumbos :-k I don't think any airline in the world is capable of making an order for 90 $300 million dollar planes in the current economical climate... interesting move by Emirates.

Emirates is way too over ambitious. The Aussie MD is milking the money of the not-so-poor Sheikhs. I don't know why they don't challenge him. The staff is filled with Aussies, and everyone complains about their indifferent and snipe behavior.
