Saudia B777 HZ-AKC

Post by Lufthansa Cargo »

Anybody knows what is wrong with this a/c? I beleive that the last two weekends this a/c was AOG here at JFK both times it seemed that something was wrong with the horizontal stabilizer. If it was not last weekend it was atleast two weekends in a row if not more, recently dating back to when the terrorist was caught here at JFK trying to fly out on EK.

I was just wondering because on both weekends the a/c overnighted as AOG (aircraft on ground). Which is usually a technical reason.

If it's still there then it's for sure AOG due to one of many reasons technically, but if it's gone by now then it's fixed and gone back home....

It only overnighted for about two days at a time. I have been hearing that SV has been having problems with their T7s.

hi

so far there is no problem with SV 777's. some time these aircarft used by royal familys too. that why it stay over night. so in last few month HZ-AKC have no AOG. it is still flying and just got new cabin and seats.

I was asking because I saw some of the work being done myself. The info that I had about SV having problems with their T7s came from an SV employee here at JFK. I was told that this a/c came back after a couple of hours into the flight due to alarms going off in the cockpit. I was also told that this happens alot on SV's T7s. Both times I have seen the a/c being pushed back into the hardstand here at T1 and have witnessed SV maintenance working on the stabilizer.
