If they realised the gear was still 'up' when they were flaring over the runway, I wonder why they didn't try to execute a go around, but I guess they had passed the point of no return even then.

Re: ATC audio Air India about to land with gear up
The Captain (very experienced) and the F/E were having a hot and heated argument (about religion??) during the landing. The F/O was the lame duck since in PIA cockpit culture F/O were treated to carry orders and don't ask questions.
If I'm not wrong but there is an alarm buzzer in the cockpit of B-742 which bugs the living day lights out of the cockpit crew if the gear is not down below 5,000 feet. Initially, the buzzer will sound every 500 feet and below 2,000 feet it is constantly sounding. However, the F/E will/can/has the control to turn off the alarm manually. As long as the F/E can push/press this black/red buzzer button the alarm will not sound.
Here was the problem; both the senior members of the cockpit crew were having a verbal argument during the landing and even though the F/O had completed the landing check list but it was not cross checked and acknowledged by other two member of the cockpit. The F/E had his hand firmly on the alarm buzzer to disengage therefore, the audio was turned off.
Here is my problem; I don't know how to upload the image otherwise I could point out to you folks where this buzzer alarm located.
