In December 2005, PIA signed an agreement with International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) to lease one brand new Boeing 777-200ER for ten years from ILFC. The brand Boeing 777-240ER completed its first test using call sign 'BOEING 449' on February 23, 2007 at Paine Field, Everett, Washington, USA. It was delivered to PIA as AP-BHX on March 09, 2007.
