The DC-8 was on lease to PIA from July 1977 to December 1977.

I have actually been on a leased PIA 707 on a domestic flight from Karachi to Lahore, in the summer of 1979.

I think they were leased from AeroAmerica. I still remember a large yellow sign by the door stating "Leased By PIA".

^^ Amaad I think you traveled aboard leased Boeing 707 seen in following photo:

The registration mark of this aircraft was N7522A and it was on lease to PIA from June 1978 to February 1979. I flew on the aircraft in the summer of 1979, probably in July or August.

Might have been an aircraft PIA leased for Hadj flgihts. Any idea when was Hadj in 1979??

November 1979.

PIA Boeing 707-340C (AP-AWZ) was operating post-Hajj operations flight from Jeddah to Karachi when it crashed near the Saudi city of Taif on November 26, 1979.
