Delay in Disembarkation of PIA Flight PK-351 Passengers

According to news sources, today aircraft of PIA flight PK-351 from Peshawar was parked on bay for international flights after landing at Karachi Airport. The aircraft was parked on bay for international flights instead of domestic flights by Ground Operation Control (GOC).

Passengers remained aboard the aircraft for fifteen minutes with no signs of apron buses or mobile stairs. The inoperative auxiliary power unit (APU) of the aircraft made cabin conditions uncomfortable for passengers.

Aircraft captain has sent debrief to CEO PIA on ground staff's negligence and wrong parking of the aircraft. The situation room did not react when informed, the debrief says. The inconvenience caused to passengers damages PIA's repute, aircraft captain stated in debrief.

It's the third incident of its kind to happen in a week at Karachi Airport.

Today, PIA Airbus A320 registration AP-BLD landed at Karachi Airport at 9:54 AM as flight PK-351 from Peshawar. The flight was scheduled to land at 10:10 AM.

Later, AP-BLD departed from Karachi at 4:03 PM as flight PK-308 to Islamabad. The flight was scheduled to depart at 4:00 PM.
