PIA Post-Hajj Islamabad to Jeddah Ferry Flight Lands in Karachi Due to Engine Problem

According to news sources, today a PIA Boeing 777 Islamabad to Jeddah post-Hajj ferry flight landed in Karachi due to some technical problem with aircraft's engine number two. The aircraft was not carrying passengers. However, such ferry flights often carry cabin crew for serving passengers of post-Hajj flight from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan.

Probably it's PIA Boeing 777-200ER registration AP-BGK that landed at Karachi at 8:39 AM as flight PK-3011 from Islamabad from where it had departed at 6:55 AM.

Earlier, AP-BGK had arrived in Islamabad at 10:46 PM on August 27 as flight PK-742 from Jeddah.

Probably for the same reason PIA Jeddah to Karachi post-Hajj flight PK-3012 is delayed. PK-3012 was scheduled to land at Karachi at 5:40 PM today (August 28).

According to PIA spokesperson, flight PK-3012 is now expected to land at Karachi at 6:00 PM on August 29.

Meals and accommodation have been arranged for the passengers in Jeddah. PIA has apologized to the passengers for the inconvenience.

On August 30, PIA Boeing 777-200ER registration AP-BGK returned to service when it departed from Karachi at 11:59 AM as flight PK-787 to London.

On August 29, PIA Boeing 777-200ER registration AP-BMH departed from Karachi at 9:04 AM as post-Hajj positioning flight PK-3011 to Jeddah. Later, AP-BMH landed at Karachi at 6:43 PM as post-Hajj flight PK-3012 from Jeddah.
