The tail doesn't match anything on the fuselage though, they gotta rethink this one.

Sorry, does not look good!
Not exciting at all when compared with what presented by member Nasir (or the provincial tail). The gold/green lines don't look neat when compared to the 737 parked next to it.

I say, lets have a competition. Make a new topic "Livery designing" and have everyone post their thoughts there. I think we can find some creative people around here. Paint and post any livery that you might have in mind. A topic like this was started on www.flightsimpakistan.com but the site went down unfortunately due to some problems. What do you guys say? I picture per post and make sure the picture quality is good. I am excited now!

This isn't the best drawing/cut and paste in the world. But I'm sure you get the idea.
This is the basic idea. Obviously full proposal would include a second stripe of gold running along side green on onto the tail - possibly Urdu stylised on engines? I don't know.

I tried to match the gold as closely as possible to 80's gold.

The greens in 'Pakistan' and the tail are slightly different but oh well.

This isn't a complete revamp so to speak - looking on the website I seem to notice that PIA logo has Pakistan International underneath so it could easily be gotten away with to be fair.

Can anyone just forget the 80's old and think of something new? I believe some of our thoughts are stuck in a box due to the fact that we have just fallen in love with the 80's livery.
Let's make a new one that the one's in the future might remember! get my point?

Though I am not a big fan of the current livery the tail of the new livery looks horrible in the first picture. The one on the 777 seems a lot better. Hopefully sense will prevail.
