Re: Four Hawker 850 Executive Jets for the Navy
I have a friend flying Hawker biz jet purchased by SAUDIA as VIP jets.Does anyone have an idea are these the similar model Hawker jets.I remember my friend telling me the Saudia ones were built in UK with Mitsubishi also contributing to some components. However the aircraft is not a good design has many problems and is not a stable aircraft in bad weather flying due to its unique aileron less design.

I found this May 2008 photo of British Aerospace BAe 125-800B in markings of Royal Saudi Air Force with registration HZ-110.

According to info on the web, new variants of BAe 125 are marketed as Hawker 800.
The aircraft acquired by Pakistan Navy is Hawker 850XP which is a new version of Hawker 800.
Hawker 850XP is produced with winglets installed at factory.
For comparison, photo of Raytheon Hawker 850XP (registration N982XP) acquired by Pakistan Navy. Photo taken at Quetta International Airport/PAF Base Samungli on September 10, 2010.
