"Aslam-O-Alaikum" Aruba 645 is ready for puushback

Post by cpt_747 »

Salaam to everybody. I don't know if you guy have been to this website, where you can listen the ATC feeds for most of the Major American, European and even Kuwait International Airport.

While I was listening to the KWI, the sweetest thing I heard was that some of the pilots were saying "Aslam-O-Alaikum" instead of "Good Morning" when they contacted the tower & tower did reply Walaikum-A-Slam.

Here is the link to the site.

The orbital speed of the Earth around the Sun averages about 30 km/s or 18 mps (108,000 km/h or 67000 mph).
Which means we're travelling 97 times the speed of sound. And yet we can't feel the motion,

Why do they stop after just 2 seconds??? Anyone having the same problem?

About LHR, someone on airliners.net was once saying that its illegal to stream live ATC feed from either England or the whole of the UK.

It was great that you pointed this one out cpt_747.... I visit the site sometimes to hear YYZ ATC, but never heard Kuwait before. I think the BA (speedbird) pilots almost always say Salam......

umm pretty normal for middle eastern airports I'd say......
The angle of arrival is inversely proportional to the probability of survival.

Some also say Inshallah when replying to clearances etc. Very good practice. Obviously you couldn't say that anywhere else - they'd probably send the F16s after you.
