Dear Fellow History of PIA Supporters!

Trying to sell and export a book seems more difficult than flying a 747!
As the publisher said "Writing the book was the EASY part!"

My book "Come Fly with Me" is now available at the following prices:
For the book+post and packing= $20 U.S for Europe and U.K.
and $22 for the USA. This is when using the Pakistan Post office by registered post. The courier services are much more expensive but can be used for delivery in Pakistan for rs 100, so the book would cost 675 for 'home delivery.'

Anyone who wants the book from abroad should send the required amount via Western Union to Capt. J. Sadiq and inform me of the details on my e-mail: jsadiq@cyber.net.pk together with your name and address in full. Also state whether you would like the book to signed and anything else written on the introduction page by the author.

Book launch is on the 16th May at the Beach Luxury Hotel--wish me luck!!

Regards to all,

Johnny Sadiq

Hello Fellows,
I have just returned from a month in UK where I saw the Duxford and Fairford Airshows--fabulous!
My sister, who lives in the USA was on a UK visit so I sent a few copies of the book to America with her. Those copies cost $10 US plus local US postage. If someone wants the book sent from here it will cost him $30 in postage and money transfer charges-a ridiculous amount--although many have done it that way. If anyone in the USA is interested in purchasing the book at this lower price please send me an e-mail at jsadiq@cyber.net.pk and i'll send you the information on how to get it.

Thanks for the support---Jets should be ready by the end of the year.

Best wishes,

Johnny Sadiq

Following is the text of book review appearing in September issue of Britain’s top selling aviation magazine FlyPast.

"Come Fly with Me - An Airline Pilot's Story" Captain Johnny Sadiq
Self published, 270pp, illus, hbk, $10

This is the story of post war airline flying in Pakistan and it is engagingly told by a pilot of considerable skill--and charm. Born in the U.K. the author hoped to fly with the RAF but the cutbacks of 1957 put paid to that. He moved to Pakistan with plans to fly for its air arm, but ended up flying such delights as Dakotas, Super Constellations, and Friendships. Johnny soloed in style as well, in Auster AP-AJU. Superbly written, the book ends as the author is introduced to the Boeing 707. As the cover carries the sub title 'Propellers', one hopes that another on the 'jet age' is in the offing.
