Panjgur Airport Attacked

According to Dunya News channel, Panjgur Airport VHF Omni Directional Radio Range (VOR) tower/installation has been destroyed in an attack on the airport by some terrorists. Airport's security personnel also taken away by attackers.

VOR is used for guiding aircraft.

From Panjgur Airport, PIA operates non-stop flights for Karachi and Turbat with ATR 42-500 turboprop aircraft.

Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) tender notice for rehabilitation of barbed wire fencing, construction of double gate and watch tower at Panjgur Airport.

The tender notice appeared in February 6, 2016, newspaper.
