The blue interior on the A330 looks nice.

Shaheen Air should try to standardize the interiors on all its aircraft.

It seems the next few years SAI will transform greatly. Replacing 732s with 734s and also getting widebodies. Hope to see more modern aircrafts inducted.

I am surprised there are no european\uk destination announced?

And is there such demand for Dhaka?

Dhaka probably will be served with Boeing 737-400.

or

there can be flights from Pakistan to Bangkok via Dhaka with Airbus A330.

I think with low fares Shaheen Air can attract passengers travelling between Gulf sates and Dhaka.

PIA is operating five flights a week between Karachi and Dhaka.

On Bangkok route, Shaheen Air can attract tourists and businessmen/traders.

Even Bangkok is just 5 hours long, easily within reach of the 737-400.

I think intially the A330s would be deployed on the Saudi routes, specially for umra and Hadj flights.

I agree with Abbas that cheaper fares could pull tons of Bangladeshi transit passengers from other airlines towards Shaheen, eventually requiring the deployment of the A330 on the Dhaka route.

But I would like to see Shaheen serve Bangkok daily, with flights divided between Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

Is that the actual interior of the A330-300? It looks bloody brilliant!

I need to read up on SAI history it seems after all these years they are finally moving into becoming a major player in the region. Did they have a change in CEO/Chairman or have the CAA made airlines standardise their services?

Shaheen Air A330 has retained green seat covers as seen in photo taken at Karachi today on following link:

Seems Shaheen Air in its ad used cabin interior photo of some other airline/aircraft.

As I have mentioned before, the A333 can only make a profit for NL if it operates JED and RUH and no other route. As pointed out before MED/BKK/DAC are all within easy range of a B734 from PAK and should suffice nicely. Thankfully, NL did not make the mistake of announcing YYZ-Toronto.

Also to operate BKK via DAC is totally non-competitive out of PAK as it must be flown nonstop. LHE-BKK is strongly suggested versus KHI-BKK because on KHI-BKK you already have 2 very established players i.e. CX and TG operating where as from LHE you only have TG. Plus yields out of LHE are higher than KHI on the BKK route.

FYI a lot of PIA's DAC pax originate from DXB/KWI/AUH/Saudi Arabia.

It would seems that it NL was to serve Bangkok, it would be to the secondary airport DMK ( Don Muang Airport) instead of BKK, which was recently opened to serve low cost carriers ( such as Air Aisa ) . It would seem that the related costs would be less at DMK instead of BKK, which would be in line with the NL model.

i also believe the a333 will be more useful on pak-ksa routes and lhe-khi
it might be difficult to fill 300+ seats.
dmk has been re-opened recently after being flooded in last yr's flood.
bkk is the primary airport and is already being 'labelled' as congested.
air asia still operates from bkk until 1st oct when they'l shift to dmk- they claim due to bkk congestion and their ever expanding fleet.
but it will create problems for transfer passengers.
i believe shaheen should still try bkk instead of dmk
