Sialkot-bound PIA Flight PK-240 Lands in Karachi

MARCH 17 - According to Express News channel, a PIA aircraft operating flight PK-240 from Kuwait to Sialkot has made technical landing at Karachi Airport after aircraft experienced some generator problem.

Information about aircraft type not available. Could be an Airbus A310-300 or a Boeing 737-300.

Also according to the news channel, a PIA ATR 42-500 returned (probably at Karachi Airport) due to some problem with aircraft's Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS).

Whats a big deal to make a threadon something that is "Normal in aviation" in case of aircraft malfunctioning during any phase of its flight and chose to land asap at the nearest airport!....

^ It could very well be a minor technical fault/flight diversion.

But there are international aviation safety sites like www.avherald.com where all kinds of commercial aviation incidents including such minor incidents get importance and are described/discussed with all possible technical details.

And, I think such incidents also get recorded/observed by aviation regulatory authority of the airport where aircraft makes technical or emergency landing.

What's wrong in talking about, everything about the PIA on a PIA forum? NO one said it to be wrong to divert to the nearest airport. It was just merely reported.
