Dear Members , I was so happy to find this site and the postings from Capt Farooq Ahmad .
My father was Secretary of the Lahore Flying Club for several years in the mid 1950s until 1961 .
The plane on the magazine cover is my father's Cessna 180 AP-AHT .
He was also a good friend and flying student of Capt Ahmad's father Zahir Ahmad and I remember Farooq and his parents and family well from my boyhood days in Batapur .
If any of you are former friends and associates of my family , I would love to hear from you .
Best Regards , Austin Dolezal

^ Welcome to forum Austin and thanks for indentifying the Cessna aircraft on magazine cover as AP-AHT.

According to Pakistan CAA records Cessna 180G Skywagon (AP-AHT) later went to Multan Flying Club (MFC) in Multan. In year 2008, registration AP-AHT was removed from list of air worthy/active aircraft in Pakistani CAA register.

On following link, there's a photo of AP-AHT with separated wing. Photo taken at Multan Flying Club on unknown date.

^ Interesting photos - thank you SM for sharing. Landscape at accident site is beautiful. Any idea about the date of this incident?

Btw, as far as I know, AP-AHT was built in 1956. Would have been nice to see it as 56-year old airworthy Cessna in 2012.

In accident photos it looks repairable.
