I wanted to share these beautiful Photos Taken from inside my car at Stanstead Airport, London meeting the Amiri Flight of Kuwait Airways VIP Boeing 747-400 " Al Jabrya". Had the the most amazing experience that day.... almost a dream come true to be right below the massive wing of a Boeing 747-400. What an amazing Beauty!!

Indeed i thoroughly enjoyed the experience! It had just arrived about 20 min's ago from New York JFK to the Harrods Aviation facility a/c parking, at Stanstead Airport near London. The photo i took while being below the massive wing does not show the condensation/ice melting from the wings.

Soon after i had taken these photos, once the VVIP's had disembarked from the plane, the ground crew pushed the Aircraft back to the Taxiway and turned it around. I had to move my car about 20 yards further back and saw the ground crew operate their equipment and push it back and then swing it around. Luckily for me, i was parked up waiting for a Kuwaiti friend to disembark from the plane and it took him nearly 2 hrs, as he had to let the Ameer of Kuwait and all his cabinet to be on their way into London First and then we were able to leave from the Airport.

This is the only aircraft i ever wanted to happen to be so close to, just to be able to admire and appreciate the sheer beauty of the beast. The 747-400 with it's raked wing tips is currently the most beautiful looking aircraft in the World. I think the Airbus A340-500 comes second for it's sheer grace. The 747-800 will eventually replace the 744 and i bet that is going to be just AMAZING!!

By the way, i'd like to add some more interesting information about the Kuwait Airways, Amiri Flight....

There were 20 (Twenty) Mercedes S-Class Limousines with chauffeursat Stanstead Airport Airside to recieve and shift the entire Kuwaiti Government Cabinet into London. Plus 2 Coaches, 3 Trucks for all the luggage. 1 Helicopter on Stand-by for the Ameer, parked up right near the Jumbo, should he wish to travel by air into London at the Battersea Helipad. At the Battersea Helipad, there were a further 2 Mercedes S-Class Limousines on Stand-by, in case the Ameer of Kuwait flew in by helicopter.

It was the most amazing show of wealth and resources arranged by the Kuwaiti Embassy in London.

After all it is one of the richest countries in the world. And they sure do love coming to London for the sales. 8)

An interesting fact about this very Boeing 744 "Al-Jabrya" is that the upper deck is exclusively configured for the Kuwaiti royal family with all sorts of luxuries and amenities available for the Royal family VVIP's.

Whenever this Aircraft is used for regular pax flights by Kuwait Airways, they close-off the upper deck area of this plane. Only the main deck capacity seats are sold on the market to the general public/customers for scheduled flights.

I bet the crew of Kuwait airways scheduled flights make good use of the VVIP upper deck luxuries, as is empty for these regular flights! Nice place to relax
