Mirage III BZ
Thank you for sharing nice photo of South African Mirage IIIDZ where D stands for dual seater Mirage and Z means it was built for South African Air Force.

Was cockpit canopy opened for someone or is it preserved in that open cockpit canopy condition ? If it's kept open then I think the cockpit must be gathering some good amount of dust.

The photo also reminds me of sets of Mirage wings purchased by Pakistan from South Africa. Later these wings were mated with Mirage III aircraft that were purchased in used condition by Pakistan from Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), and after upgradation work these Mirages entered into active service with Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

On following link is some years old photo of a PAF Mirage III. The aircraft is one of ex-RAAF Mirages mated with camouflaged South African Mirage wings.

The football fever is gripping the country, in case somehow you dont know, the FIFA World Cup 2010 is being hosted in SA and just about everyone has jumped on the sponsor bandwagon. This one belongs to a local low cost airline's 737-400 (Kulula).

AP-GAK in South Africa certainly is a nice catch! I think we don't get many chances to see Pakistani-registered aircraft in South Africa.

Also liked nose of that Boeing 737 decorated with football related markings.

Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Abbas. At first I didnt realize it was a Princely a/c only later it dawned on me when I looked at the registration.

The low cost airlines here usually have nice and funky color schemes I'll post some more pics soon.

Another Kulula B737 also a nice color scheme, coming from CPT and will be turned around in 30 minutes for its return flight.

Another low cost airline (1Time) also uses MD80's which sadly are going to be phased out soon. Sorry about the poor picture quality the weather was terrible that day :(
