I won't be surprised if a new PIA management under post-May 11 elections government floats another tender notice for procurement of narrow-body jets.

This is becoming a joke. Off the top of my head, this is at least the fifth aircraft tender PIA has issued in the past few years.

If PIA continues along this line of rejecting tender offers then re-opening them, they may find themselves with a leasing industry which refuses to do business with them.

That would be very expensive.

then it would be much better for PIA management to wait for the new government to take charge and proceed with tender thereafter :-k

This requirement already reeks of disaster as it wants aircraft purchased from 1996 onwards i.e. 17 years ago

They should only request for aircraft manufactured from 2008 onwards i.e. 5 years or less.

It should be 7 A321-200s with 1 additional fuel tank installed + 5 A320s.

The A321s should have 8 business class + 180 economy class seats totaling 188.

The A320s should have 8 business class + 144 economy class seats totaling 152.
