KARACHI: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) standing committee on aviation has urged the government to appoint a deputy managing director for PIA in order to help the airline on plans to enhance the organisation’s efficiency and performance. In a press release issued here on Tuesday, the Chairman FPCCI Standing Committee on Aviation Muhammad Yahya Polani highly commended the steps taken by the new MD of PIA, Capt Ajaz Haroon, to improve the airline’s performance, and maintained that appointment as a deputy managing director would help him execute his plans more expeditiously. staff report
