AP-BHW seen without rudder in this photo taken at Karachi Airport in April 2008. The rudder of AP-BHW was damaged during routine maintenance work at Karachi Airport on April 4, 2008. The original rudder complete with Punjab Province motif was replaced with a white rudder sent by Boeing Company. Till the arrival of replacement rudder the Boeing remained grounded for more than two weeks. With installation of replacement rudder, AP-BHW was declared airworthy on April 20, 2008 and same day operated flight PK-731 from Karachi to Jeddah

AP-BHW without rudder seen grounded at Karachi Airport in April 2008. Note thin layer of dust fuselage due to aircraft remaining grounded for some days. AP-BHW was delivered as brand new aircraft to PIA on February 8, 2007
