Photos of PIA ATR-42-500 by Farrukh Bhati - Part I

Post by Abbas Ali »

Here are photos of PIA’s very first ATR-42-500 (registration AP-BHH) taken by PIA Cadet Pilot Farrukh Bhati (forum member speedbird). Farrukh took these photos at Karachi Airport on June 4, 2006.

First of all, thanks to speedbird and Abbas for sharing the great pics, now being a part of History of PIA.

Further, I would like to share one of the Abbas Ali collection (which took me alot to search all my cd bank as I cannot search on History of PIA directly due to no search option!) so here it is; the picture of ATR72 which was the begining for replacement of F27s back in 90s and BHH is the end of that trial by PIA.

All beautiful photos thanks for sharing them. Which points did this aircraft land whilst on its delivery flight to Karachi?

I'd like to see what the cabin layout is like.

Anyway, thanks once again speedbird

Any idea why the aircraft wears small PIA acronym, when it could have been large, also why is the Urdu logo in that odd position when it could have been on teh nose area under the second cockpit window.
