Shaheen Air Asked to Vacate Head Office and Aircraft Hangar Land Leased from Pakistan CAA

October 2, 2018, notification from Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to Shaheen Air International (SAI).

Notice of Termination of Lease of Land for Hangar and Head Office

Please be informed that you have not deposited outstanding amount of PKR 11,079,668/- (current updated amounting to PKR 20,727,169/- as on August 31, 2018) despite of that given stipulated time has already been expired. This action on your part has been viewed seriously by the competent authority as being prescribed violation of lease agreement.

Foregoing in view, and in the light of clauses 7 & 8 along with other relevant provision of lease agreement, you are hereby served with 30 days written notice after expiry of which your lease of land for hangar land measuring 8000 square yards and head office land measuring 8121 square yards shall stand terminated. You are thus advised to vacate the premises and building thereon peacefully and handover vacant possession thereof to Senior Joint Director (Estate), Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Jinnah International Air Port (JIAP), Karachi, in determination of the lease as stated herein.

I can't imagine how such a stable airline can shut down in a few months.

Exactly, they are the ones who are responsible for killing a working airline they inherited from their father.
