According to news sources:

Aviation Division has directed Airports Security Force (ASF) to cancel protocol security passes issued by ASF.

Such passes will be issued by the Aviation Division in the future.

ASF comes under the Aviation Division.

I can tell you guys that neither of these two things are working. Flew from Lahore to London on PK757, yesterday. A family friend got us bulkhead seats a day before the flight (I never asked him, he had our PNR and just texted me to say that we are in 41 now) and I have also made a video of a couple being afforded a full protocol while being led to the CIP lounge. Sad state of affairs, still.

I agree. These things may not seem to be working; it would certainly take some time for the minds, hearts and bodies of our nation to be purged of all the bad blood and corruption running in them for the past 70 years. At least, this is a right step by the government in the right direction. Just as drops combine to form a sea and every journey starts with a small step, I am quite optimistic that In Sha Allah, with time and Allah Taa'la's help, we, as a nation, will rise out of the ashes of corruption and evil and proudly stand one day soon on our firm feet with dignity and honour. Long live, Pakistan. Aameen.

According to PIA spokesperson:

The airline did not give protocol to former Interior Minister on flight PK-531.

Bus and minibus both are used for passengers.

The investigation does not show anything unusual.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry travelling on PIA Lahore to Islamabad flight took notice of PIA staff in domestic departures lounge of Lahore Airport waiting to greet and garland an officer of the airline. The information minister reprimanded PIA employees and questioned them about violation of government policies at a time when even country's President Arif Alvi is not taking protocol at airports.

The PIA officer clarified that he had not asked anyone to welcome him at the airport and was unaware of the situation.

The information minister has asked PIA staff and station manager/senior officials to submit report on the matter.
